Japanese Monpei – Casual Peasant Pants October 18

If you've never made pants because you don't know what to do about fitting them, or they seem too complicated, this is the place to start.

Monpei are comfortable loose fitting working pants! There is no "pattern" - just 2 (or 4) rectangles based on your hip measurement to cut out, some triangles to form the crotch gusset, pockets if you want to add them, a waistband facing, and you're good to go. You can use a drawstring or elastic to fit the waist; you can add elastic at the bottom of the legs.
