2012 CLASS SCHEDULE

WINTER AND SPRING 2012

Registration fee is required upon registering.

We are a SCENT FREE location.

Please bring your lunch for all day classes. All sewing and embroidery require normal sewing items such as scissors, rotary cutters and rulers, markers, thread, needles, USB sticks for embroidery classes, as well as supply items your instructor may request.

Long Arm Quilting

We are very pleased to be able to offer you the service of quilting your quilts for you.

Every Wednesday we are privileged to have our “In House” long arm quilter, Margaret Sweete, here to give you a quote for quilting your quilt plus discussing batting, backing, thread choices and quilting design. Margaret is also here to answer any questions you may have regarding a quilting system, tips on how to quilt and demos on how the system works. Please call in advance as there may be some Wednesdays that Marg will be unavailable. 902 479 2482

Demystifying Your Serger

Do you have a serger that you never use? Do you only use one stitch because you are afraid to thread your serger? If the thread breaks when you pull through a new color are you lost? Come and refresh your serger knowledge and gain the confidence that you want. Set up a one-on-one class with Pat or get a group together and share the class fee of $25.00 per hour.

Software

We will be doing software class on how to communicate with your embroidery machine and your computer. Moira will show you how to save files with the correct file extension, and how to find that file after you have saved it. She will be here to answer any of your computer related questions and to give you the confidence that you long for---

Sewing Revolution Class with Mary Kocko

We are pleased to announce that this is our longest running class and our students still come with excitement and anticipation. This class is already full with the ongoing students however is you are interested in learning the Sewing Revolution Ruler system we can add a second class.

When: All classes are Wednesday am from 10 till 12:30

January 25th, Feb 22nd, March 28th

Time with Rhoda

Creative Vision Classes

There is no one more qualified to help you explore all the features of your Creative Vision machine than Rhoda Moore! Rhoda will provide supply lists for each class as she takes you beyond the regular usage classes.

When: Feb 2nd, March 1st, April 12th, May 3rd

10 am till 3pm

Fee: $ 130.00 for 4 classes

Creative Sensation Classes

There are so MANY great features on the new Creative Sensation! Rhoda will integrate these features into classes so that you will be more than comfortable with your new machine—these classes are a step up from your free usage classes. Rhoda will provide you with supply list for each class project.

When: Feb 3rd, March 2nd, April 13th, May 4th

10 am till 3pm

Fee: $130.00 for 4 classes

Rhoda’s Embroidery Day

These classes are for all embroidery machines and will get your creative juices flowing. Each project will feature techniques and tips that will make your embroidery projects a pleasure to do. Rhoda will give you extra tips on stabilizing, hooping, needles, threads, etc. and will answer any questions you may have.

When: Feb 4th, March 3rd, May 5th (Rhoda will be away in April)

Fee: $ 135.00 for 3 classes

HOOP SISTERS GOOSE TRACKS BOM

Goose Tracks has been a hit all over the United States, Canada, and Australia so make sure you sign up early to reserve your space.

Goose Tracks is an embroidery and quilting class.

This Block of the Month club will be 10 classes plus an intro class that will explain how to pick your fabrics and thread colors plus give you an overview of what to expect. There are 30 unique blocks (5” and 8”) that can be used to create the quilt shown or one of 8 other quilts. All designs for the classes PLUS the border designs are included in the class fee. You will learn how to “quilt as you go” which makes the finishing touches so much easier. This is a fun class for both novice and experienced quilters.

Fabric purchased for this class will be discounted 25% for all students.

Lil’ Twist Table Runner

Create pinwheels the fast and easy way using the Lil’ Twister ruler and the Let’s Twist pattern book, --both are included in the class fee. We will explore the method of use and complete the table runner in one class, ready for quilting. The book has multiple patterns for both the Lil’ Twister ruler and the Twister ruler. Save 25 % when you purchase the fabric for this class from Sew with Vision.

When: Saturday March 24th from 10am till 4pm

Fee: $57.00 (class, book and ruler)
