Electric Quilt 6
Are you a quilter? How would you like to see what your quilt will look like before you cut into that beautiful fabric? EQ6 will let you design your project completely on paper: choose your colours and blocks, print out templates, cutting instructions, fabric requirements, and preview the finished quilt. These two classes will get you started with this amazing program, and covers the basics of designing a quilt from start to finish, using all the libraries included. Future classes will delve into designing your own blocks, both pieced and applique.

Software Skills Sessions

Technique: Stippled Potholder
Are you intimidated by that perfect freemotion work that you see on quilts? Do you have a problem relaxing enough to embrace stippling, or its older cousin, meandering? Come learn how to incorporate stippling into your embroideries.
Recommended: 4D Suite (4D Design Creator, 4D Sketch)
Technique: In the Hoop purse
The latest rage is to create a project entirely in your embroidery hoop. Bookmarks, stockings, cell phone holders - the list is endless. This class will teach you the method used so that you can create your own.

Technique: Embroidered Fabrics
Sometimes you want an all-over delicately embroidered fabric to create a one-of-a-kind pillow or garment. Fabric Decorator is one way to accomplish this.
Recommended: 4D Suite (4D Fabric Decorator)
Technique: Creating Redwork (One Colour Work)
There are lots of redwork designs out there, but never the right one for your special project. You've seen the perfect design or picture, but how do you get that simple outline?
Recommended: 4D Embroidery, 4D Suite or 4D Quilt Design Creator
Technique: Applications for Applique
Take even a basic outline and turn it into an appliqued embroidered design when it used to be done by hand or with a blanket stitch on your sewing machine. Or leave out the fabric altogether and create a satin border for more emphasis.

There will be more Skills Sessions to come. We do plan to repeat the ones that already happened, as mid-week did not turn out to be the best for most people. And for those of you who previously had registered for the Yarn Couching and Thread Velvet sessions, they will be re-scheduled soon.

4D Software Club – Not for Beginners
If you have taken beginner software classes at Sew With Vision, this is for you. A mixture of techniques and shortcuts, we will build on your skill set and boost your confidence in using our Pfabulous 4D software. There will be more editing techniques, and how to split those really large designs that are too big for your hoop.

Advanced Software Club
A continuation of the Advanced Class that has been ongoing for almost two years. Stitch manipulation, background fills and motifs, and how to use the Wizards wisely. Sometimes they aren't really that helpful!
Required: Must have 4D Suite or 4D Pro, no exceptions. Graphics tablet recommended.

We're Off to see the Wizard - Learning to Navigate in 4D (Beginner-Friendly)!
There are several wizards in our 4D Software, and each is designed to help you get started on a particular technique. Take some of the guess work out of your creations by understanding which Wizard is which and when to use them.
